PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an optical fiber and to properly impart tension to the optical fiber, concomitantly and naturally, by sticking or winding it around a distortion-measuring object such as a tape, without using tools or the like. SOLUTION: The optical fiber mounting long-size bar 30 is structured by mounting an optical fiber 10 on a long flexible support 20 in a sticking or imbedded manner. For this purpose, a long reaction body 21 is prepared so as to impart a tensile force to the optical fiber 10, with a composite functional body formed, by combining this long reaction body 21 with the optical fiber 10, in a mutually restraining relation. As a result, a long optical fiber is supported, in a state of not impairing flexibility of the optical fiber and also in a mode facilitating its installation.
