PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly maintain high measurement accuracy by eliminating an error in a measurement value of displacement caused by a secular change in the characteristics of a displacement sensor. SOLUTION: Points of time when a hydraulic valve 30 to which a displacement sensor 10A is attached is positioned at a top dead center, a bottom dead center, and a neutral point are detected respectively on the basis of a signal of a control lever 200. A sensor signal value outputted from the displacement sensor 10A at the detected point of time is acquired as a sample value. On the basis of the acquired sample values of the top dead center, the bottom dead center, and the neutral point, a trend in a secular change in the characteristics of the displacement sensor 10A is calculated. The settings of a conversion table 111 for displacement calculations are corrected throughout the displacement range toward a direction in line with the calculated trend. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
