PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop greening structure employed in order to green the rooftop of a building, or the like, designed so as to reduce alkalinity of members forming the greening structure into such a level as to be suitable for the growth of plants, improving fixation of the roots of the plants, and excellent in drainage, water retainability and air permeability. SOLUTION: The rooftop greening structure is formed by laying granular bodies 4 comprising carbonated ALC (autoclaved lightweight concrete) crushed material under planting soil 5. The ALC crushed material desirably comprises alkalinity-decreased one obtained by making a carbonation degree≥30 wt.%. In the structure, it is desirable to put the soil and the roots among granular bodies to fix the plant, and regulate the granular diameter and the layer thickness of the ALC crushed material to obtain optimum drainage, moisture retainability and air permeability according to the plants.
