A system for backlighting of one of displays and screens including at least one light device and a light distribution unit. The at least one light device includes a glass body in the form of a hollow body with an inside and an outside. The light distribution unit containes at least one polymer. The glass body is made of a glass composition that is UV blocking and the glass body is at least partially transparent and has a transmission degree T <0.1 for wavelengths <340 nm.
