There is provided a device comprising a resistor (R1), a capacitor (C1) and a relay (RL1) and judging acceptableness of a secondary battery. A ripple is forcibly generated in two battery groups of secondary batteries (E1)-(En) by alternately switching the contacts a and b of the relay (RL1). The terminal voltage of each secondary battery in which the ripple is generated is inputted to a ripple detecting section (DET1) where acceptableness of the secondary batteries (E1)-(En) is judged.
