PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of malfunction by improving the reliability of a switching circuit and enhancing a failure diagnostic function in a system for which high reliability is requested. SOLUTION: The emitter of a first NPN transistor is connected to the collector of a second NPN transistor, a load and a power supply for the load are connected in series between the collector of the first NPN transistor and the emitter of the second NPN transistor, base driving circuits for the first and second NPN transistors are individually formed, a negative pole terminal of a power supply for the base driving circuits is connected to the emitter of the second NPN transistor or a common terminal of the load power supply, and first and second circuits are individually and independently switched to detect not only an OFF failure but also an ON failure at the time of failure diagnosis.
