PERPENDICULAR RECORDING HEAD AND METHOD FOR ELIMINATING UNNECESSARY MAGNETIC FLUX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular recording head capable of stably recording information to recording media. SOLUTION: A main return pole 13 and an auxiliary return pole 21 arranged to face each other across a main recording pole 11 and are arranged so as to be magnetically connected to each other through two magnetic couplings 22. When the density of the magnetic flux becomes excessively high in the main return pole 13 and even if the unnecessary magnetic flux leaks from a yoke 16, the unnecessary magnetic flux is recovered in the auxiliary return pole 21. The unnecessary magnetic flux is hardly supplied to the recording media 20 and therefore the unintentional erasure of the already recorded information on the recording media 20 due to the unnecessary magnetic flux is suppressed.
