PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material improved for imparting an article or its part with sealing, baffling, sound attenuation, sound proofing and reinforcing functions or the like and provide a method for using the material. SOLUTION: The activatable material contains (1) a component reactive with an isocyanate and (2) a blocked isocyanate component. The activatable material is inserted into a cavity formed by a manufactured structure member such as an automobile and bonded to the surface of the structure member by deblocking the blocked isocyanate to activate the activatable material.
