PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use having high melanogenesis inhibitory ability, retaining high safety and stability, and free of unfavorable odor and coloration. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation inhibits melanogenesis and prevents pigmentation on the epidermis. The skin care preparation contains≥4.5 wt.% lactic acid as melanogenesis inhibitor.
