Described in the present invention is an apparatus for determining electropotential properties of a membrane electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell comprising a reference electrode which projects from a side of an exposed part of a polymer electrolyte membrane of the assembly vertically toward the outside.
