The bottom plate (1) for a cooling grate has a cover component (4) formed from lamellae with the front terminating lamella retained on a support structure (2) via a locking device (5) which has a through-hole for a fitting bolt on the end wall and a locking disc for the locking of the front plate. The locking disc is movable between a neutral position and a locking position in such a way that in the neutral position it protrudes into the through-hole, and in the locking position it is pushed out of the through-hole and thereby locks the front lamella.
