<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic part recognition apparatus which can accurately recognize the shape of an electronic part even if the conveyed electronic parts are approached to each other. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic part recognition apparatus includes a shape reader 4 which scans the electronic part conveyed in a predetermined conveying direction in a scanning direction which intersects perpendicularly in the conveying direction, a shape information generator 22 for generating shape information representing the shape of the electronic part read by the shape reader 4, an electronic part information storage unit 23 for storing the electronic part information regarding the electronic part, and an information generation suppressing unit 24 for suppressing the generation of the shape information by the shape information generator 22 based on size information representing the size of the electronic part included in the electronic part information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
