PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the maintenance of a cast or an endless belt used in a method for manufacturing a molded product having an uneven shape formed on its surface. SOLUTION: In the molded product manufacturing method for obtaining the molded product by polymerizing a polymerizable raw material in the cast and peeling the obtained polymerizate from the cast, a mat film, which has a base material film and the mat layer having releasability formed on one side of the base material film, is bonded to at least a part of the surface of the inner wall of the cast through a pressure-sensitive adhesive so that the mat layer having releasability is turned on a surface layer side. Alternatively, in the molded product manufacturing method for obtaining the molded product by polymerizing the polymerizable raw material on the traveling endless belt and peeling the obtained polymerizate from the endless belt, the mat film is bonded to the surface of the endless belt through the pressure-sensitive adhesive so that the mat layer having releasability is turned on a surface layer side.
