PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of an optical disk reproduction process with respect to a CD-TEXT reproduction device and a CD-TEXT processing circuit. SOLUTION: In the CD-TEXT reproduction device which reads out sub code information recorded in advance from a lead-in area of an optical disk of the CD standard and which decodes/reproduces the TEXT information according to the CD-TEXT standard on the basis of R-W channel data of the sub code information, the device includes a CD-TEXT decoder which determines the existence/absence of the TEXT information while decoding the TEXT information, on the basis of the R-W channel data of the read out sub code information, in parallel with the decoding of TOC information on the basis of the Q channel data of the sub code information read out from the lead-in area.
