PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex control system for reducing the labor of a user at the time of preparing a program, and for shortening a time required for tracking compared with that of a conventional system to attain efficiency. SOLUTION: This duplex control system is provided with two controllers 1X and 1Y in a current system and a stand-by system, and those respective controllers 1X and 1Y are provided with a variable definition editor 14 for adding, to variables dealing with data, tracking attributes showing whether or not those variables are the target of tracking and a compiler 15 for assigning temporary addresses to the variables being the target of tracking based on the tracking attributes, and for assigning actual addresses in the tracking object memory region secured in a memory 7 in a batch for the variables being the target of tracking when the processing has been completed.
