PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finder display device in which an increase in the size of a camera is restrained by disposing the illuminating member of the finder display device in a region other than the vicinity of a top part. SOLUTION: The finder display device of a single lens reflex camera provided with a finder device 16 constituted of a penta-mirror 17 of hollow-structure comprises an illuminating member 18, a roof mirror 17, and a screen 22 having a screen face which has a superimposing prism. The illuminating member is disposed so that illuminating light from the illuminating member is made incident on the screen face from the direction of the side of a space between the roof face 17a of the roof mirror and the screen face of the screen.
