PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having high sensitivity, low fog, excellent image preservability and pre-exposure storage stability, a method for manufacturing the same, and to provide an image formation method using the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material. SOLUTION: The silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material contains a photosensitive emulsion containing non-photosensitive silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid particles and photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent for silver ions, a binder and a crosslinking agent, wherein the photosensitive silver halide grains are surface latent image type ones before heat development and become internal latent image type ones after heat development and the photoconductivity after being heated lowers to≤80% of that before being heated.
