PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an astronomic observation dome suitable for arranging a large and highly accurate radio telescope, and capable of preventing intrusion of a dust and sand and irregular reflection of the sunlight from the radio telescope arranged in an observation room space, in an astronomic observation dome of a semicircular shape on a square shape. SOLUTION: An astronomic observation room 11 is composed of a dome body 2 for surrounding the four-side periphery of the observation room space, and angle-shaped divided roofs 3a and 3b for covering the upper side of the observation room space. The room is characterized in that the radio telescope 12 is arranged in the observation room space; a protective film 6 composed of an electromagnetic wave transmitting material for covering the upper side of the observation room space, is arranged inside the divided roofs; guide rails 4, 5, 7 and 8 are horizontally arranged in the ridge direction in the dome body 2; an upper part of the observation room space can be opened by movably supporting the divided roofs and the protective film 6 by the guide rails; and a windshield for preventing an exposure of wind to the protective film 6, is arranged outside a gable end side wall 2a in the direction for moving the protective film 6.
