PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new substituent-bearing fluorene compound, and to provide an organic luminescent device using the same. SOLUTION: The new fluorene compound is represented by general formula [I] [wherein, two pyrenyl groups are each such that its 1-position or 4-position is bound to the fluorenyl group; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each H, a (substituted) alkyl or the like; R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, aryl or the like; R<SB>5</SB>and R<SB>6</SB>are each isopropyl, adamantyl, trimethylsilyl or the like; (a) and (b) are each an integer of 1-3; (c) and (d) are each an integer of 1-9; and (q) is an integer of 1-10].
