PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a matte coating film excellent in finish appearance on glass. SOLUTION: The method for forming the matte coating film on glass is characterized in that a thermosetting acrylic polyester type matte powder coating film, which contains an epoxy group-containing acrylic resin (A), a hydroxy group and carboxy group-containing polyester resin (B), a blocked polyisocyanate compound (C), and a polycarboxylic acid (D) as essential components and also contains wax (E) and a silane coupling agent (F), is formed on the surface of a glass base material.
