The standard chain of a chainsaw is assembled of a multitude of link elements, rolls, and cutting elements axial arranged in relation to the rotation axle and suitable for making straight cuts or cuts in a comparatively wide curve. The new design of a chain or a driven belt (2) in general is provided with cutting teeth (8) attached in a right angle to the chain links, facilitating the use of the saw (1) in a different position and the convenient removal of smaller rounded segments (12) from a work-piece (3).
