FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable feed of a proper amount of fuel by reducing the frequency of pulsation occurring due to drive of a high pressure pump, in a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine.

SOLUTION: The fuel supply device is provided with a low pressure fuel supply system 11 to pressurize fuel by a feed pump 14 and supply the fuel to a fuel injection mechanism 12 for an intake air passage; and a high pressure fuel supply system 21 branched from the low pressure fuel supply system 11 and pressurizing low pressure fuel by a metering pressure feed type high pressure pump 23 according to the operation state of an engine and supplying it to a fuel injection mechanism 22 for the interior of a cylinder. The high pressure pump 23 is constituted such that all amount of pressurized fuel is supplied to the high pressure fuel supply system 21 in spite of the operation state of the fuel injection mechanism 22 for the interior of a cylinder, and surplus fuel is returned by releasing a relief valve 29.
