PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly prevent deviation of a vehicle, irrespective of whether a wheel whose braking and driving force generating means is faulty is a front wheel or a rear one, in the vehicle in which the braking and driving forces can be controlled mutually independently.
SOLUTION: If it is discriminated that a fault occurs to a motor generator, of whichever wheel (S40), the conduction of a control current to the corresponding wheel is stopped (S50). Then, it is discriminated whether the wheel whose motor generator is faulty is a front wheel (S60). When it is the front wheel, a control current to the wheel at the opposite right-or-left side is decreased gradually to zero, taking a comparatively short period of time T1, and the conduction is finally stopped (S70, 80). When it is the rear wheel, a control current to the wheel at the opposite right-or-left side is decreased gradually to 0, taking a comparatively long period of time T2 and the conduction is finally stopped (S90, 100).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
