LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT ARRAY HEAD AND OPTICAL PRINTER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element array head which enables cost reduction by reducing the number of light emitting array chips.

SOLUTION: The light emitting element array chip 10 carries a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a line shape. A plurality of optical waveguides 14 having different pitches between an incidence end side and an ejection end side are formed at an optical waveguide array substrate 12. Light emitted from a light emitting part of each light emitting element of the light emitting element array chip 10 is brought into the incidence end of each optical waveguide 14 and propagated in the waveguide 14. The light ejected from the ejection end of each optical waveguide 14 is condensed by a micro lens array 18 with a plurality of lenses formed therein to a photoreceptor drum surface 20 in the rear of the lenses.
