PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus and a video processing method capable of easily carrying out image quality adjustment while matching a degree of the image quality adjustment with the taste of a user. SOLUTION: The video processing apparatus and the video processing method for applying prescribed video processing to a video image on the basis of a supplied video signal applies image conversion processing through a plurality of systems to each frame image by each frame image configuring the video image and thereafter sequentially displays the processed image sequentially obtained as a result of the image conversion processing of a plurality of the systems in the unit of frames so that all or parts of a plurality of the processed images are contained in a display screen entirely at the same time. When any processed image is designated among a plurality of the processed images displayed on the display screen at the same time by means of an external operation and the volume value expressing a degree of the image quality adjustment applied to the designated processed image is determined, the image quality is adjusted by setting the volume value to the one determined to the processed image to sequentially display the adjusted image on the display screen in the unit of frames.
