摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an apparatus for evaluating soundness of structure, which has a wavelength-tunable laser combined as a light source, and can easily obtain the optimum detection sensitivity in ultrasound detection. SOLUTION: A strain measuring and ultrasound/AE detecting apparatus using an optical fiber sensor is provided, which is equipped with an FBG sensor 1 attached to an object to be measured; an optical circulator 2 connected to the FBG sensor 1; a coupler for incidence 8 and a coupler for reflection 10, respectively connected to the optical circulator 2; a broadband light source 4 and a wavelength-tunable laser light source 6, respectively connected to the coupler for incidence 8 via switches A, B; an optical filter 5 connected to the coupler for reflection 10; photoelectric converters 11, 12 for measuring strains connected so that transmitted light and reflected light from the optical filter 5 can enter them; and a photoelectric converter 7 for ultrasonic detections connected to the coupler for reflection 10.
