The invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation for the oral administration of fosfomycin in powder or granule form for a solution comprising an excipient system that is compatible with the active principle, which does not pose any risk of undesirable colour formation and which is suitable for administration to diabetic patients. The excipient system comprises mannitol and/or xylitol and an artificial sweetening agent which is selected from the group containing: acesulfame, aspartame, saccharin, alitame and/or cyclamate.
