A system is interfaced with multiple different financial, clinical and inventory information systems that provide information for on-line analytical processing to provide resource usage characteristics. The acquired information includes revenue received for a particular usage of a particular resource by a particular patient, operating cost of maintaining the resource, and an acquisition cost of the resource.
