COLOR CORRECTION DEVICE, COLOR CORRECTION METHOD, AND COLOR CORRECTION DISPLAY METHOD

In a color difference signal space having four axes: Cb+ axis, Cb- axis, Cr+ axis, and Cr- axis, color correction is performed by rotating and extending/contracting the four axes independently from one another. When axes at one side or both sides of the area where a color difference signal (Cb, Cr) to be corrected exists are rotated and extended/contracted, the other axes are also rotated and extended/contracted so as to minimize the affect to the other colors. Thus, when a desired color is subjected to color correction, the affect to the other colors can be reduced and the color continuity at the boundaries of the four axes can easily be maintained, thereby performing a color correction with a high degree of freedom.
