摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain degradation of exhaust emission, while trying to attain an early warm-up of an exhaust-emission control system such as a catalyst, and the like in starting an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: As a secondary air-supply system, a secondary air pipe 35 is connected upstream of the catalyst 31 in an exhaust pipe 24, and a secondary air pump 36 is provided upstream of the secondary air pipe 35. An ECU 40 starts the secondary air-supply with the start-up of an engine 10, and at the same time makes a correction of start-up increase in fuel injection quantity. In the secondary-air supply time, the ECU 40 makes an increase correction of the fuel-injection quantity in accordance with the secondary air-supply quantity. In this case, in accordance with the start-up increase-correction performed after the start-up of the engine, the ECU 40 inhibits or permits a fuel quantity increase to be made in response to the secondary air-supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
