PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method which can perform reprocessing based upon information showing how an image has been processed when parameter information used for image processing carried out by a scanner is saved together with the image for performing additional processing or editing processing having been already performed. SOLUTION: An instruction preparation module 6 prepares an instruction in which instruction contents of a user as to image processing and the storage location of image data are described, and an instruction analyzing module 9 analyzes the instruction contents of the instruction. A job management module 10 generates a job according to the instruction contents of the instruction and an image processing module 12 performs the image processing for scan data included in a storage file based upon job attributes included in the storage file according to the job.
