PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing control system and a timing control method that prevent control start timing error when determining the control start timing for a control target using plurality of oscillation elements. SOLUTION: A CPU 121 measures vertical synchronizing signal cycle entered from an IPP107 on the basis of an oscillation frequency of an internal ceramic oscillator. When determining the control start timing for the control target on the basis of the vertical synchronizing signal, the CPU 121 corrects the control start timing for the control target on the basis of the measured vertical synchronizing signal cycle.
