PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detection result from being influenced by variation in characteristics among amplifiers which extracts optical sensor outputs. SOLUTION: In the input-sensor incorporated display device having sensor circuits and pixel circuits arranged two-dimensionally, the sensor circuits apply 5 V to signal lines Sib(n)R and 0 V to 2nd and 3rd signal lines Sib(n)G and Sib(n)B in the precharge period of a capacitor Cp to obtain a state in which a transistor nt1 is turned ON and an input/output transistor nt3 is turned ON. In a subsequent variation cancel period, a state in which the nt1 is turned ON and the nt3 is turned OFF is obtained and the terminal voltage across the capacitor Cp is set to Vth of the nt3. A state in which the nt1 is turned OFF and the nt3 is turned OFF is obtained in an imaging period. In a reading period, 5 V is applied to the 1st signal line, 0 V is applied to the 2nd signal line, and 0.5 V is applied to the 3rd signal line to turn the nt1 OFF and the nt3 ON, thereby detecting potential variation of the 1st signal line.
