PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for a cosmetic container, which is composed of a minimum quantity of members of a front cylinder, a base cylinder, and a core chuck member, keeps a stick cosmetic held by a plurality of pawl pieces positioned in a plurality of sliding grooves of the front cylinder, and is so designed that the pawl piece does not abut on the tip of the sliding groove at the forward limit of delivery for a safety mechanism against turning overload at the forward limit or backward limit. SOLUTION: The front cylinder and the base cylinder are turnably connected and the core chuck member is inserted therein, the end of the core chuck member serves as pawl pieces positioned in the sliding grooves of the front cylinder and holds the stick cosmetic, the inside of the base cylinder has a spiral portion composed of continuous projection and recess, the rear part of the core chuck member is installed with a cylindrical portion and engagement projections are provided from the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion toward the spiral portion as a delivery mechanism.
