Exchangeable end cap for mounting a higher safety-type T5 (16 mm diameter) low-energy light bulb in a fitting for a T12 (38 mm diameter) bulb with a magnetic igniter. The T5 bulb comprises a fluorescent long field lamp with a protective tube and electronic lamp adapter. The mechanical connection between the protection tube and end cap is designed so that it can be undone. The invention also relates to a corresponding low-energy lamp with a detachable connection between a protection tube and end cap made with plug elements and catches.
