PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell separator with excellent conductivity and a long life of usage.

SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte fuel cell separator is formed by forming a silver-plated layer on an oxide layer formed on the surface of a mother material made of heat resistant iron alloy composed of Fe and a metal component other than Fe (denoted by M). The oxide layer has a spinel type structure composed of FeOFe2O3and MOFe2O3.
