ONE-COMPONENT DEVELOPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component developing device where toner on a toner carrier served for development is electrified with high electrifying efficiency while restraining the deterioration in a developer and whose toner electrifying performance is maintained over a long term. SOLUTION: The one-component developing device has a toner electrifying member 17 arranged in contact with a toner carrier 12 on a more downstream side than a toner regulating member 15 and on a more upstream side than a developing area D in the moving direction of the surface of the toner carrier 12, and the toner electrifying member 17 is a high polymer film supported by a fixed electrode 20, and the surface energy of the high polymer film is≤40 dyne/cm. It is more desirable that the surface energy of the high polymer film is≤30 dyne/cm. It is desirable that a contact angle with water is≥80°.
