PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a normal AKB (Automatic Kinescope Bias) operation even when leakage current arises in a cathode. SOLUTION: Outputs OUT of video amplifiers 1R, 1G and 1B are connected to cathodes 3R, 3G and 3B of a cathode-ray tube 2 respectively. Heaters 4R, 4G and 4B are provided near the cathodes 3R, 3G and 3B and a heater power source 5 is connected to the heaters 4R, 4G and 4B. A grid 6 is provided in front of cathodes 3R, 3G and 3B. Outputs OUTM of the video amplifiers 1R, 1G and 1B are connected to each other and a middle point of the connection is connected to a current-voltage (I-V) converting circuit 7. Moreover, grounding edges of the heaters 4R, 4G and 4B and a circuit of the heater power source 5 and a grounding edge of the grid 6 are directly connected to the current-voltage (I-V) converting circuit 7.
