PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for image display, capable of preventing penetration of moisture from outside air in between substrates and of enhancing durability of image display functions. SOLUTION: In the panel for image display wherein an image displaying medium is encapsulated in between two substrates which face each other and at least one of which is transparent; electric field is applied to the image displaying medium and the image displaying medium is moved to display an image, when the periphery of an image displaying part is sealed by a seal part; the seal part is constituted by fitting a recessed type sealing wall 12 provided on one substrate 2; and a projecting type sealing wall 11 provided on the other substrate 1 to each other via a sealing material 13.
