PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die clamping apparatus which can suppress the spout of a forming material from the portion between the dividing surfaces of the dies, and can elongate the life of the dies. SOLUTION: The die clamping apparatus determines the distribution of the loads to be shared by a plurality of tie bars 7A to 7D based on the information about the dies, and has a control unit 70 for independently control the pressure of the working fluid in the cylinder chambers 9a of the respective die clamping cylinders 9A to 9D so as to achieve the determined distribution of the loads.
