[Class 38 (i)] An electrical plug-pin socket is formed from a brass blank (Fig. 1) comprising wing pieces 15, obtained by cutting oblique slots 12 in the main portion 10 of the blank, and a central portion 11 having an apertured terminal tag 14 on its outer end. The wing-pieces are bent over to form a tapered resilient socket (Fig. 3) and an annular bulge 16 is formed near the broad end thereof to provide a flange for attaching it to an insulating plate 17, the portion of the socket which protrudes therethrough being riveted over.
