The invention relates to a device for the extraction of a fish hook from the mouth of a fish, whereby the fish hook is fixed to a fishing line. The device is characterised by an extended retaining arm (9) and a tubular hook holder (1), with a jointed connection to the free end thereof, which may be pivoted from a forward facing position for engaging the fish hook (24), into a rearward facing release position by means of a pivot device, whereby the free inner cross-section and the length of the hook holder (1) are such that the fish hook shaft (25) fit in and the hook holder (1) is embodied over the entire length thereof with a slot (3) for introduction of the fishing line. |
