The invention relates to novel immunogens carrying conformationally discriminating epitopes (CDEs) and to immunization methods for producing antibodies that specifically recognize proteins with very closely related homologues. In particular, the invention relates to antibodies which are specific for either FcgammaRllb or FcgammaRlla.
