The protection comprises a casing (1) containing heat insulation (4) and a substance (5) which melts during operation. The melting substance is enclosed in membrane(s) or a metallic casing (2), e.g. of aluminum or copper. The melting substance is micro-encapsulated and/or is absorbed into a porous body. The melting point exceeds 0[deg]C, and lies below 100[deg]C. The thermal substance is homogeneous, e.g. it is paraffin wax. It is a eutectic comprising several components.
