<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification reactor suitable for generating synthesis gas by gasifying organic materials (carbonaceous compounds) such as waste materials, coal, fossil fuel and their mixture without causing secondary contamination. <P>SOLUTION: The gasification reactor comprises a reduction reaction chamber (a reformer body) and an oxidation reaction chamber (a synthetic gas burner) which is arranged so that it may intersect perpendicularly with the reduction reaction chamber. The reduction reaction chamber comprises a body extending from a feed material inlet 5 to a gas outlet 4, and a gas inlet arranged at a side of the body. The oxidation reaction chamber has a gas inlet 17 and a gas outlet, and the gas outlet of the oxidation reaction chamber is in fluid communication with the gas inlet of the reduction reaction chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
