<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine provided with a fuel injection device for injecting and supplying fuel into a combustion chamber 4 directly. <P>SOLUTION: This engine E is provided with a cylinder block 1, a piston 3 fitting slidably into the cylinder block 1, a crankshaft 5 connected with the piston 3, and a connecting means 10 connecting the piston 3 with the crankshaft 5. The connecting means 10 has a link mechanism 19 reducing lowering speed of the piston 3 corresponding to rotation of the crankshaft 5 more than lifting speed of the piston 3, and this engine comprises the fuel injection device for injecting and supplying fuel into the combustion chamber 4 directly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
