MODERATOR FOR GENERATING SLOW POSITRON AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a moderator for generating slow positrons by using a small-gauge wire laid out in lines. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the moderator has a process for fixing the small-gauge wire onto a first pair of frame bodies by wrapping the small-gauge wires around the frame bodies in lines at prescribed intervals between each other, a process for separating one frame body onto which the small-gauge wire where the first pair of the frame bodies around which the wire is wrapped are laid out in lines is fixed and the other frame body onto which the small-gauge wire placed in lines is fixed, a process for locating the one separated frame body and the other separated frame body so that the small-gauge wires fixed onto the former and the latter respectively can be put into contact with each other, a process for fixing a second pair of frame bodies with a fastening means so that the small-gauge wires fixed onto the one frame body and the other frame body located respectively so that both can be put into contact with each other can be located in a space domain on the side of the inner diameter of the second pair of the frame bodies and a process for separating the first pair of the frame bodies and the second pair of them by cutting off the small-gauge wire on the side of the outer diameter of the second pair of the frame bodies fixed with the fastening means.
