PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic/termiteproof treatment method of timber capable of extending a life by applying the antiseptic/termiteproof treatment to the timber. SOLUTION: A vegetable organic fuel is burned in a combustion chamber to generate smoke, and the smoke is sent to a smoking/drying chamber. The timber housed in the smoking/drying chamber is dried by the sent smoke to produce the dry timber having a high Young's modulus. This means that each cell is uniformized and stabilized, and the strength of the timber is increased. The smoked and dried timber is soaked in a solution of a mixture of a wood treatment containing an iron component as a major component (a timber protecting agent), wood vinegar, and wood tar for 5 minutes. The solution of the mixture contains the antiseptic/termiteproof treatment component. As a result it is possible to obtain antiseptic/termiteproof treated timber showing high Young's modulus.
