PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leakage detector for detecting a gas leakage position due to cracking of an underground buried main gas pipe of city gas, easily detecting whether cracking of the main gas pipe occurs on the upstream side or the downstream side of gas circulation. SOLUTION: In the body of a water reservoir tank, a reservoir chamber is divided into the upstream side and the downstream side of gas under a gas passage by a partition, each reservoir chamber is provided with a pipe penetrating a top plate of the body to be hung down to the inner bottom of the body, the upper part of the body is provided with branch pipes projected to be connected to both side gas main pipes, each branch pipe is provided with a working pipe raised to communicate therewith, and the pipe penetrating the top plate and the working pipes are extended to the grownd surface.
