PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdery make up composition or a skin care composition capable of applying deposition to the skin, particularly make up finish to the natural skin, relatively free from powdery feeling and capable of seeing through natural texture of the skin. SOLUTION: The cosmetic powder comprises barium sulfate and either of an elastomeric organopolysiloxane powder and an N-acylamino acid powder, or a polymethyl methacrylate powder and a polyurethane powder, or an acrylic polymer powder other than the polymethyl methacrylate powder.
